Six of our members turned out for the August 15th  Turning Saturday. Mike Peace was our teacher for two projects. One was an angel ornament and the other was a life size egg.

Not only are these nice small objects that work well for a special gift without having to spend days on the lathe, but even better they are excellent practice pieces. If you have been away from the lathe a few days (or longer) either piece is an excellent way to get that old muscle memory back in action.

In addition to Mike we had Odell Gaddis, Ron Norris,Joe Weaver, Donald Wilkins, and Bob Black.
